Verification and AML
Every player is verified so only adults, playing legally with their own money, use our games. Below you will find the checks we run, the documents we might request and what happens if your details don't match.
Why we verify
Sign-ups are open only where local gambling laws permit play, and we follow Canadian rules on age, identity and AML. Our player checks let us:
- confirm you are 19+
- confirm your identity is genuine
- stop stolen cards and hijacked accounts from being used
- keep criminal money out of the casino
- send your winnings quickly to the correct account holder
PEP and sanctions screening
Sanctions screening and PEP (politically exposed person) screening run when you sign up and again periodically after that. PEPs are people who hold high-profile public positions now or held them before. Their family members and known associates go through screening too.
- No player named on a sanctions list can open or keep an account with us.
- A PEP match does not block play on its own, but it triggers enhanced checks and senior sign-off.
When checks fail
- While we investigate, we may suspend deposits, play and withdrawals.
- We request further documents and explain what is missing.
- If we still cannot verify you, or we find false or altered documents, the account is closed.
- Winnings from play on a falsely verified account are void. Deposits are handled as Canadian law requires.
Records and reporting
We keep identity records, transaction logs and check results for the period required by Canadian law. They are stored securely and used only for compliance, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Suspected money laundering or terrorist financing is reported to the relevant Canadian authorities. The law bars us from saying a report was made, so an account may be paused with no explanation given.
Ongoing monitoring
Verification is not where our checks end. We monitor account activity on an ongoing basis and watch for warning signs such as:
- big or frequent deposits out of step with previous play
- deposits followed by withdrawals with minimal betting
- use of several payment methods or third-party cards
- sudden changes in location, device or personal details
A flag does not mean wrongdoing. It means we take a closer look and may request more information.
Source of funds
If your deposits reach a level that calls for it, or your activity doesn't match your profile, we'll ask for proof of your source of funds. Documents we commonly accept include:
- recent payslips or an employment letter
- bank statements showing the funds
- papers confirming funds from an inheritance, a property sale or an investment
Until our checks are complete, deposits and withdrawals may be held.
Identity and age checks
We check your age, identity and location electronically before you make your first deposit. Where those electronic checks fall short, we ask for documents:
- Photo ID: a valid, fully legible Canadian passport, driver's licence or provincial photo identification card.
- Address: a household utility bill, a recent statement from your bank or a government letter, all in your name.
- Payment ownership: send a screenshot showing your Interac e-Transfer or Apple Pay details, or an image of the card face with its middle numbers masked.
- Selfie: in some cases, a live photo to match against your ID.
Please send clear colour images showing all four corners. All payment methods you use must be registered in the same name as your account.
